About The Blog

I was bitten by the blogging bug in 2014, when I spent the year exploring and writing about “all things wild and alive” on the land managed by the Box Moor Trust (BMT) in Hemel Hempstead and Bovingdon, Hertfordshire, UK.

In 2015, still volunteering for BMT, monitoring flora and fauna, A Natural Interlude was the next step. A place where I could expand my focus and loosen the structure. Ultimately, I hoped that something of the patience, beauty and freedom of nature would find its way here and produce a tiny but potent oasis of calm in what might otherwise be frantic days.

Unfortunately, health issues and organising a house move across counties brought about a (permanent?) hiatus in blogging. But, never say never. For the time being, I can be found over on Twitter (@WildlifeLucy) and if you’d like to get in touch, feel free to drop me a line using the Get In Touch form on the left (it's down there somewhere!).

Happy exploring!
